A favorite for lunch. Mmm, lightly toasted bread smothered in a little light butter. Half a sliced avocado dusted with crushed peppercorn and sea salt. Absolutely delicious!

In the Image of the Maker

Hosted with singer/songwriters Christa Wells & Nicole Witt, this retreat is for women, ages 15-100, who make, make with paint and cameras and music and words, with books and babies and textiles and food and all things of everyday, uncommon beauty…

What does it means to follow our Creator God into a creative life? How do we watch for beauty in ordinary?  How do we make music from emptiness? How do we carve space for creativity for His glory when we barely have time to brush our hair?

Hate

Sons born of first man-seed

Daughters wet from womb of Eve

Children with a likeness-image

Have we not all one father?

Skin ripped for man-flesh

All believing, accepted

All made one in God-union

These minds birth viscous conceptions

These mouths hiss putrid evil

These hands defile in violence

These hate with a cruel hatred

Bold as lions in righteousness

Shameless, Flint-set faces

Grace-owned and made fearless

Not forsaken, loved for justness
